Good post, too many of us don't realize the power of omega 3-fatty acids.

But I would also like to add that omega-3 benefits can be substantially enhanced by limiting the amount of omega-6 in our diets. Most Americans eat way too much omega-6 and far too little omega-3, which can lead to many health problems (including, of course, high cholesterol levels).

So what are the main sources of omega-6 in our diet? Most vegetable oils - like corn oil, sunflower oil, soybean oil, safflower oil, cottonseed oil, and palm oil.

No wonder we get too much, right?

And our good sources of omega-3? Fish oil, cold water fish, flaxseed and flaxseed oil.

Again, see why we get so little of these incredibly important fats? That is why supplementation is important.

For more information on the omega fatty acids, check out my site - specifically this page:

Wishing everyone the best of health!
